So we all probably have a very similar browsing pattern, I would think. Everyone has those sites they go to everyday or once a week. You probably don’t even think about it sometimes. You just click on the bookmark or you have an icon on your desktop and that’s where you start. I do that.

Sometimes it gets very regimented, too. Generally, it’s based around my workday. Mondays would be these sites. Tuesday this site and this podcast. Thursdays were blah and so on. With a few sites that I went to everyday, even numerous times a day.

So, I was thinking. What are those sites that are worth talking about? These sites make up MY INTERNET. I’m not talking about those places that everyone knows you go to. Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Google and Twitter, don’t count. Of course I go there. That’s what social networking is all about. (side note – you can find all of my social networking links at the bottom of every page) I’m talking about the places that you go to that are things you found along your Internet lifespan that maybe people know about, maybe not. They connect to you in some way (the voice, the content, an activity), and you have become just as loyal to them as your favourite tv show or restaurant.

I’m over at Kwasi Thomas’ room at Twins . I’ve neve done that room before but I love working with Kwasi. He’s a funny funny little man.

I’m going down to do a show at Next Door tonight. I like that room. It’s small but the crowd are generally enthusiastic and there a good bunch of comics to hang with.

I really need to get into more of a writing pattern with both my comedy and this blog thing. I’m more obsessed with getting this thing looking more original but I keep remembering that it will really only be as original as the content that I write. So, I think I need to add a bit of a regular schedule.

Therefore, I promise this:

1. I will update this blog on Monday and Friday always.
2. I will add any shows that I will be doing to the event calendar.
3. I will add photos to this site once a month at bare minimum
4. I will do a video update every week on Wednesday.
5. I will add something to the Comedy section every week on Wednesday.
6. I will add a cool links section and add to that on Tuesday. Hopefully to turn into the “Site of the Day”, but “Site of the Week” is cool too.

That should be enough to get me started but I think it’s fairly reasonable. Once I have 2 weeks worth of content I will make known to the general public that this is alive. That should make me accountable.

I will work on the new look for the site and have that live by March 31 at the latest.

So, at least that is something.

So, I watched the Oscars last night as I have been doing for the past 20 or so years and it really made me wonder about it’s validity as a show in general. Are they still worth watching or is it just a big commercial for a certain selection of movies and a way of getting actors more money in their movie deals?
